Story
The story behind it
"Mitsuwa Sauce" is the sauce brand that Sun Foods, based in Minami Ward, Hiroshima, has been making since its founding in 1916.
At Okonomimura, a well-known building of okonomiyaki stalls in Hiroshima, every shop uses this sauce. Visitors who come to Hiroshima for okonomiyaki are often tasting it without knowing the name.
The sweetness of tomatoes, apples and other vegetables and fruit is layered with a moderate amount of spice, giving a rich sauce with a clean finish. In 2008 it was certified in the first round of "The Hiroshima Brand."
